Overview This is a consultant post commencing immediately within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will provide general obstetric and gynaecological services and will be involved in the on-call rota with other consultant colleagues, supported by the junior medical staff. The post requires a special interest in urogynaecology and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care for women referred with pelvic floor dysfunction. Responsibilities

Provide general obstetric and gynaecological services and participate in the on-call rota with other consultant colleagues, supported by junior medical staff. Develop and apply a special interest in urogynaecology and work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care for women referred with pelvic floor dysfunction. Work with existing consultants and the multidisciplinary team to provide a high quality, well-led service for patients, including diagnosis, investigations, treatment and management in accordance with Trust policies and practices. Provide senior clinical leadership to support optimal team performance by promoting an open culture of continuous learning for improvement; act as supervisor and mentor for junior medical and non-medical colleagues. Engage in service review and innovation with clinical and non-clinical team members to enhance patient experience. Participate in the obstetrics and gynaecology on-call rota with resident doctors; current pattern includes a long days week 1:12 and a night-based week 1:12. Be skilled in managing emergency gynaecology and obstetrics, with support available if necessary. Actively take part in gynaecology leadership responsibilities and help implement national recommendations.

DBS clearance: It is the policy of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust and require DBS clearance for the post are required to pay the cost for their DBS certificate. Payment is via salary deduction from the first month's pay. The DBS check will be undertaken during pre-employment screening.
