Job Description

CONSULTANT ROLE – GROWTH AND DATA INTELLIGENCE CONSULTANCY

Location: Central London (5 days a week, in-office)

Sector: Private Equity Advisory + B2B FinTech

ABOUT the team

We're not for everyone.

We’re a founder-led, in-person growth and data intelligence firm built for people who want to operate at the highest level. We work with some of the world’s leading B2B technology companies and are trusted by top-tier PE investors. Over 80% of our work is with demanding US-based leadership teams.

We are obsessed with product + pricing. We constantly ask: where is value in a product + how should a firm package to maximise returns?

Our edge is specialism. We operate at the intersection of the Office of the CFO, FinTech, financial software, data, and cyber. At the core of everything we do is a proprietary pricing intelligence platform which delivers deep, entity-level insight across buy-side,

sell-side, and global markets. We are building on this foundation with in-house tools and AI agents to stay at the frontier of incisive, decision-grade insight.

This is a high-performance environment. Feedback is continuous. Accountability is absolute. We optimise for pace, precision, and impact where unique/challenging POV is a non-negotiable. Radical candour is our mantra.

If you want to grow fast, take real responsibility, and be pushed with care, you’ll feel at home here.

THE ROLE

The Consultant of our team is the engine. You’ll be driving workstreams with granular + precise evidence.

Consultants are expected to bring drive for results. To be counted on to deliver high quality evidence with rigour + depth. They must bring judgement, energy, and intellectual horsepower to every stage of delivery; shaping the critical questions, challenging

assumptions, and ensuring our platform is properly deployed.

You will be visible with clients, active in sessions, and accountable for driving workstreams to impact.

Over time, the expectation is to progress toward leading smaller engagements end-to-end + progressing to become an Associate Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and deliver high-precision workstreams on schedule, using initiative to rigorously test strategic hypotheses and "prove or disprove" core assumptions.
  • Identify the "true" questions facing clients; leverage data systems to challenge thinking on pricing, value, and product growth.
  • Produce sharp, concise deliverables (Excel, PDF) that distill complex primary research into actionable "so-what" recommendations.
  • Drive discussions in task forces and steering committees, confidently presenting and defending recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Execute key investor actions through thoughtful research and proactive suggestions that drive commercial momentum.
  • Build industry reputation and personal brand by creating specialized marketing content and attending key sector events.
  • Monitor historical client performance and research market trends to identify and propose new business opportunities.
  • Foster a high-performance environment by giving and receiving direct, timely feedback to eliminate rework and elevate standards.
  • Act as a "culture carrier," role-modelling absolute ownership of projects and personal self-development.
  • Maintain a high level of intellectual curiosity, proactively leading your own development through self-directed reading and research.

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Drive for results – you can be counted on to think about your results with energy, proactivity, and goal-orientation

• Agility - Comfortable operating with ambiguity and incomplete information

• Openness – you are open in being clear what you know + do not know

• Attention to detail – can be counted on to develop rigorous work that is in-depth and accurate

• Strong ownership + accountability - you own things end-to-end + drive them into impact

• Natural curiosity about markets, products, and business models

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• You are trusted for your judgement, not just your output

• You materially raise the sharpness and momentum of client engagements

• You embed our data into how clients think, not just what they see

• You elevate the quality of conversations – internally and with clients

• You are on a clear trajectory toward leading engagements

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• 3 - 5 years in a related role, such as consulting, PE advisory or another high stakes environment

• Depth of curiosity in CFO, FinTech, financial software, data and or cyber

• Elite problem solving skills, fast, structured, decisive

• Intense drive for results. Proactively finding solutions to problems

• Clarity, conviction and edge in communication

• Ability to thrive under pressure, visibility and challenge

• Commitment to building yourself, clients’ success, and the future of our firm

We’re not for everyone. But if you’re tired of playing safe, and you’ve got the courage, stamina and sharpness to make an impact, this is where you prove it.
