Job Description

We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager for our Eastern Region. We want our people to succeed both in work and life and to support this we promote a healthy, productive, and flexible working environment that respects work-life balance.\n\nMain Duties:\n\n * Provide operational, strategic, and contractual direction to the project teams.\n\n * Keep close links to the contracts by visiting each site as required.\n\n * Monitor performance against programmes and resource requirements.\n\n * Maintain and develop strong client links on each contract.\n\n * Attend progress meetings.\n\n * Attend monthly contract CVR meetings with Regional Director.\n\n * Support the Regional Director in implementing regional and company initiatives and strategies.\n\n * Development of project staff through use of the PDR process.\n\n * Capture and share best practice and lessons learned.\n\n * Keep Regional Director appraised of potential issues and future work opportunities.\n\n * Maintain high levels of team morale and promote team building events.\n\nAre you the person we are looking for?\n\nThe ideal candidate will have experience across a broad range of civil engineering projects, with a strong track record of delivering highways schemes valued at £5m+ and experience in a waterway’s environment. You will be commercially astute, experienced in pre-contract tendering, and confident in programming using tools such as Asta Powerproject or MS Project, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills.\n\nA strategic and collaborative leader, they will be an effective communicator who can inspire and motivate teams while building strong relationships both internally and externally.\n\nThe role requires an HNC, HND or BEng in Civil Engineering, a strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and construction contracts such as NEC and JCT.

Candidates must hold a valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification.
