Controls Engineer – Manufacturing

The Role

As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and supporting automated production systems. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and support automated production equipment including PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and control panels. Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system faults to minimise disruption. Modify and enhance PLC and HMI programmes to improve performance and reliability. Support commissioning of new machinery and control systems. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to identify root causes of issues. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems.
