Full-Time | Permanent
The Role Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for developing winning tender strategies, preparing accurate estimates, and coordinating comprehensive tender submissions.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship management skills. You will ensure all tenders are competitively structured, commercially sound, and professionally presented minimising risk while delivering first-class service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement winning tender strategies
- Produce detailed and competitive cost estimates
- Analyse tender opportunities and make informed bid/no-bid recommendations
- Coordinate the full tender return documentation and submission process
- Review and manage historical cost data and market trends
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Lead and support client presentations and pre-contract meetings
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Planning Regulations, and relevant legislation
- Manage pre-contract documentation and handover to delivery teams
- Control and monitor costs associated with tenders
- Ensure high standards of health & safety and compliance with company policies
We are looking for a commercially astute and detail-oriented professional with strong organisational and communication skills.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in estimating and tender coordination within construction or fit-out
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent planning and organisational ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident presenting to internal stakeholders and clients
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office
- Experience using Bluebeam or similar software
- Strong team player with high levels of integrity and professionalism
- Membership of a recognised industry body (e.g., RICS or CIOB) or proven commercial estimating experience
