Interim Corporate Health and Safety Advisor – West London – £44.99 per hour (umbrella)\n\n A London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Corporate Health and Safety Advisor to provide a competent and pragmatic advisory service across all Council departments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDeliver professional health and safety advice and support to services.\nLead the development and implementation of the Council’s Health and Safety Management System, policies, and procedures.\nPlan and conduct audits and inspections, reviewing documentation and working with managers to implement improvements.\nPromote a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture and ensure compliance with legislation.\n\nExperience / Knowledge\n\nExtensive experience providing health and safety advice in a large or multidisciplinary organisation.\nIn-depth knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practice.\nProven ability to engage stakeholders and promote practical, proportionate safety solutions.\n\nQualifications\n\nDegree / NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety (essential)\nIOSH membership (Cert IOSH or above) with ongoing CPD (essential)\nNEBOSH Construction Certificate or strong CDM knowledge (essential)\nNEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate and/or auditing qualification (desirable)\nDemonstrable competence in health and wellbeing initiatives, including stress and partnership working (essential)
