Duties

• Diarising key dates
• Professional proactive approach in handling cases and new client enquiries
• Ability to work well within a team
• Assisting with Mental Health and Court of Protection health and welfare cases
• Taking instructions
• Maintaining case files organises
• Dealing with correspondence
• Drafting letters and applications
• Preparing court bundles
• Preparing brief to counsel and chronologies
• Maintaining accurate time recording
• Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor promptly
• Attending court hearings with counsel
• Taking minutes during meetings
• Liaising with clients, court and opponents effectively

Skills required

• Work experience in Court of Protection matters
• Italian or Portuguese language skills preferred
• A strong academic background with a Law degree
• Legal experience as a Paralegal
• Clear understanding of the Court of Protection
• Business acumen
• Excellent time management and organisation skills
