Court of Protection Caseworker / Paralegal / Solicitor

Location: Southeast London (near Lewisham)

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 (DOE)

Our client, a reputable solicitors’ practice in Southeast London, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join their specialist Court of Protection team.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, client-focused, and confident managing sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters
• Assisting clients lacking capacity and liaising with family members, carers, local authorities, and external agencies
• Preparing applications, account reviews, deputyship paperwork and related documents
• Supporting senior team members with more complex matters
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work remains compliant with regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Experience within Court of Protection (caseworker, paralegal, or solicitor level)
• Strong understanding of capacity law and deputyship processes
• Excellent communication skills with a patient, supportive approach
• Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
• Confidence working independently and proactively within a busy department
