Staff for Education are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work at a Secondary School in the Mansfield area. This role will be a long-term position starting after Easter 2026.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment for students. Your main responsibilities will include: • Managing student behaviour in line with the school policies • Delivering pre-planned lessons to the class when a teacher is absent • Providing clear instructions to the students to ensure they understand the work set and their learning objectives • Providing support and guidance to students when needed • Collecting in students work at the end of the lesson to give to the relevant member of staff • Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the relevant person at the school
In order to be considered for the role, you must: • Have experience working in a school setting • Strong classroom management skills • Have excellent communication skills • Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one • Have a passion for working with young people
