Cover Supervisor WinchesterProspero Teaching is looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Winchester.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and feel comfortable supervising classes and delivering pre-planned work when teachers are absent.

You'll step into a variety of lessons, maintain a calm learning environment, and help students stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.

The Role:Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 & KS4 Supervise classes and ensure students remain on task Manage behaviour in line with school policies Support students with questions and classroom activities Provide short-term or pre-planned cover as required Maintain a positive, safe and structured classroom environment Ideal Candidate:Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc.) Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour Adaptable, proactive, and calm under pressure Clear communication skills and strong organisation Graduates or aspiring teachers encouraged to apply Contract Details:Position: Cover Supervisor Location: Winchester Start Date: ASAP Working Pattern: Full-time, part-time or day-to-day cover Pay: Up to £130 per day Year Groups: KS3-KS4 Experience, Training & Safeguarding:Experience with young people essential Classroom experience is beneficial Safeguarding training can be xbpsjku provided Eligibility:Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) Two references covering relevant experience What Prospero Teaching Offers:Free accredited CPD including safeguarding & behaviour management Support from a dedicated consultant Flexible work to match your availability Pathways into long-term roles or teacher training If you're a confident communicator and enjoy working with young people, this role offers a fantastic chance to build school-based experience in Winchester.
