Cover Supervisor - Andover

Prospero Teaching is looking for confident, enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Andover. This role involves stepping into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-prepared lesson materials, and keeping students focused, engaged, and working productively.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working with young people and want hands-on classroom experience. It's especially suitable for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth-work professionals, or anyone with strong communication and leadership skills.

Both full-time and flexible part-time/day-to-day positions are available.

The Role:

• Lead lessons using work set by the class teacher
• Supervise classes across a variety of subjects (no planning required)
• Manage behaviour and maintain expectations in line with school policies
• Support students with questions and class tasks
• Work across KS3 & KS4 depending on daily staffing needs
• Provide a calm, structured presence in the classroom

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, etc.)
• Confident managing behaviour and addressing challenges
• Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable covering different subjects
• Graduates or aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to apply

Contract Details:

• Position: Cover Supervisor
• Location: Andover
• Start: ASAP
• Working Pattern: Full-time, part-time, or day-to-day
• Pay: Up to £130 per day
• Age Groups: KS3-KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

• Experience with children or young people required
• Safeguarding training can be provided xbpsjku
• Behaviour management experience helpful

Eligibility:

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Two relevant references
