Delivery Lead / Site Manager (Data Centre Connectivity)

Salary:£50,000 – £60,000 + package

Employment type: Full time

Location: UK (projects across London / Europe depending on workload)


This is for someone who’s stepped up from being fully hands-on and is now properly running areas of a job.


You’ll be leading teams on-site across structured cabling, fibre, and rack & stack works within data centre environments. Less about pulling cables yourself, more about making sure the job actually gets delivered properly.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Running day-to-day delivery on site across multiple work areas
  • Managing engineers and subcontractors (often multiple teams)
  • Coordinating structured cabling, fibre installs, and hardware deployment
  • Working closely with Project Managers to keep programme on track
  • Managing RAMS, drawings, and general site documentation
  • Acting as the main point of contact on site for escalations
  • Supporting client interactions and progress updates


What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience delivering data centre projects (not just one-off exposure)

Strong background in:

  • Structured cabling (copper & fibre)
  • Rack & stack / hardware installs
  • Experience running teams on site
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple workstreams
  • Able to deal with clients and escalate issues properly


Nice to Have

  • Exposure to hyperscale environments (AWS, Microsoft, Meta etc.)
  • Experience working for structured cabling / connectivity contractors


The Reality

  • You’ll still be close to the tools at times, but this is more about coordination than doing
  • You won’t be owning full project commercials at this level
