As a specialist education recruiter, I am delighted to be supporting an Outstanding secondary school in North East London with the appointment of a Deputy Head of English for September 2026. This is a key leadership role within a high performing English department, offering the chance to work alongside an experienced and respected Head of English in a school where standards are uncompromising and professional growth is actively encouraged.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department to shape curriculum intent and implementation across Key Stages 3 to 5, supporting assessment design, quality assurance, and pedagogical consistency. You will play a central role in coaching colleagues, modelling excellent practice, and helping to drive strong outcomes in both Language and Literature. This role is ideally suited to an experienced teacher with leadership potential or an existing Deputy ready to broaden their impact.
