Position Design Manager – Main Contractor\n\nLocation London, NW1\n\nPay Rate £400 /day to £450 /day\n\nContract 12-24 months (extendable)\n\nAre you a Design Manager with experience leading projects for a large contractor? Are you looking to work for an established, highly respected Tier 1 Main Contractor with great career opportunities?\n\nThe Role\n\nAfter a series of project wins an exciting opportunity has arisen at one of UK’s largest tier 1 main contractors. They are looking to recruit a Design Manager to play a key role in their fit out and refurbishment division.\n\nThe initial projects you would be working on are School, College and University refurbishments.\n\nThe Company\n\nThis organisation is one of the largest construction and infrastructure groups globally.

They have over 6,000 employees in the UK, with a turnover in the £billions.\n\nThey are known for the quality of the design in their projects and are looking for a likeminded individual to join this successful team.\n\nThe Candidate\n\nThe successful individual will have worked as a Design Manager who has taken the lead on fit-out or refurbishment projects previously at RIBA stage 3+.\n\nPrevious work on Education / School / University / DfE projects or similar experience would be but not essential.\n\nKey Experience\n\n * Design Management of projects RIBA 3+ for a large contractor.\n\n * Ability to manage stakeholders.\n\n * Excellent IT Skills, Numeracy and Communications skills are required.\n\nKey Accountabilities:\n\n * Produce and negotiate the project specific designer agreements.\n\n * Produce & manage a realistic design programme.\n\n * Support the implementation of Continuous Improvement and innovation.\n\nThe Plus Points\n\nThis opportunity would suit someone looking to further their career with this leading, highly respected main contractor and work in a stable, collaborative environment.
