Job Info Job Description Reporting directly to the CFO, the Director of Finance – Financial Control is accountable for driving financial excellence with sustainable foundations. As a member of the Heathrow Senior Leadership Team, they oversee external reporting and financial and tax compliance to external stakeholders. Your role will involve
Delegated accountability from the CFO for the four finance core processes and for setting finance frameworks and policies with robust processes and controls. Setting the strategic direction for external Financial Reporting, Tax and Treasury Control activities for Heathrow. Ensuring Heathrow’s accounting policies are in line with IFRS and other relevant Financial Reporting standards and requirements. Leading the team in preparing, attending and presenting all financial matters to the Audit Committee to ensure good governance over key accounting judgements, estimates and relevant issues. Accountability for managing the corporate entity structure and distributable reserves to meet shareholder requirements for the payment of dividends.
These Skills Are Essential
Qualified accountant (FCA, FCCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience of operating at a strategic level in a FTSE 250 or equivalent sized private company as a Financial Controller. Experience in setting the strategic direction for external Financial Reporting, Tax or Treasury Control. Able to evidence strong influencing with the ability to make complex accounting and tax issues easily understood at Director, Executive and Board level. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrable track record of leading high‑performance teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals. Technical accounting/tax expertise with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
