Document Controller - Construction / Building Safety South London Permanent

A leading UK contractor specialising in façade remediation, cladding replacement, and building safety works on high-rise residential developments is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their growing team.

With a strong pipeline of projects focused on fire remediation and regulatory compliance, this is an opportunity to join a business delivering complex schemes across London and the South East.

You will play a key role in managing and controlling project documentation across multiple live projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility of information across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Working closely with Technical, Design and Commercial teams, you will support the smooth running of projects through effective document control processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain all project documentation in line with company procedures Ensure accurate version control, distribution, and filing of drawings and technical documents Administer and manage document control systems including SharePoint and PlanRadar Upload and manage tender documentation via external portals such as Proactis, Procure Plus, and similar platforms Coordinate information flow between consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams Track document submissions, approvals, and outstanding actions Support project teams with audits, reporting, and compliance requirements Maintain clear and organised records to support regulatory and project requirementsRequirements

Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction or engineering Strong working knowledge of SharePoint and PlanRadar Experience using external tender portals (e.g. Proactis, Procure Plus, or similar) Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders
