A leading construction project team is seeking a highly organised and proactive Document Controller to join their site-based team in Westminster. This is an excellent opportunity to join a live construction project, supporting project delivery through effective document management and administrative coordination.

Role Overview

The Document Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle. Acting as the central point of information flow, you will ensure that document control procedures are strictly followed, documentation is accurately recorded, and all project stakeholders have access to the latest approved information.

You will play a key role in supporting the site team, maintaining compliance records, and ensuring smooth communication between subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all activities related to document control procedures, including technical documents, drawings, and correspondence

Maintain and update document registers and trackers (Drawings, RFIs, RAMS, Technical Submittals, QA logs, etc.)

Input and manage document data ensuring accuracy and version control

Chase pre-construction documentation from suppliers and subcontractors

Manage inductions and book site deliveries

Generate document control and compliance reports

Distribute controlled copies of latest approved drawings and documents to relevant parties

Maintain accurate distribution records of approved documents

Manage project Health & Safety files

Use and manage project EDMS platforms (Asite, Conject, Aconex, etc.)

Use Procore to monitor QA and H&S documentation and generate reports

Create, manage and collate Inspection & Test packs

Provide general administrative support to the site project team

Maintain filing systems and control logs across project documentation

Requirements

Proven experience as a Document Controller within a construction environment

Strong understanding of document control processes and revision management

Experience using EDMS platforms such as Asite, Aconex, or similar

Experience using Procore for QA and H&S documentation management

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

High attention to detail with strong record-keeping ability

Strong organisational and workload management skills

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced site environment

Flexible and team-oriented approach
