This is an excellent time to join Bristol Educational Psychology Service (EPS) as we continue to expand our team. We are looking for Maingrade Educational Psychologists who are creative, innovative and want to work in a thriving, diverse, and multi-cultural city.

Bristol EPS is part of a growing Inclusion Service in the Educational and Skills Directorate in Bristol City Council. It is an exciting time for the Inclusion Service, with new opportunities for growth and collaboration as we follow the vision and priorities of the
Educational Psychologists (EPs) in Bristol work to promote inclusive practice, challenge discriminatory practice and promote equality. We value collaboration, taking ownership of our roles while working together to help individuals and families thrive. We have embedded principles of person-centred practice in our work. We engage with and listen to children and young people and their families, representing and advocating for those who find their voice is not always heard.
We are an established team of EPs with a wide range of experience, expertise and interests. We meet as an EPS for CPD, social gatherings and service development. You will be linked to a locality team enabling you to develop a deep understanding of a specific area of the city and build a network of EP and multi-professional colleagues around this.
Maingrade EPs have a balance in their work across the week. You will contribute to EHC needs assessments, working alongside the Bristol Autism Team, SEN team and with Assistant EPs to collaborate where possible. You will also deliver work in schools and educational settings as part of a long-standing traded offer. Packages of traded service delivery promote a consultation-focused service to settings. EPs use psychology in a wide range of other projects and initiatives through joining in with wider local authority strategies and development. In addition to this, time is reserved for EPs to work together on EPS, locality and Bristol City Council development areas.
We offer regular peer and individual supervision, a comprehensive induction programme and ICT to support flexible working. You will have a comprehensive, high quality CPD programme as well as time for self-directed CPD allowing you to develop new skills in your career. Early Career EPs also benefit from specific packages of support.
If you are not currently a trainee EPs you must be HCPC registered.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
