Electrical Design Engineer – 2-4 years experience – Shropshire - Permanent - £40-45k + 10% bonus

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join the design office of a Shropshire based systems integrator. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of power systems, in particular industrial drive systems, power conversion and power applications.

Experience of all major Electrical CAD design packages considered.

Key aspects of the Electrical Design Engineer role include –

* Electrical design including electrical schematics, control panel GAs, cable block diagrams, cable / termination schedules, bill of materials for use in various sectors including heavy industry

* Create functional specifications for systems and components such as motors, drives, switchboards, transformers, energy storage devices and cabling

* Detailed design studies and calculations

* Learn customer support, co-ordination, tendering and project handovers

* Company will consider Electrical Design Engineers with experience of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical or other widely used packages who are interested in cross training in-house to EPLAN

The position is commutable from the following places - Market Drayton, Telford, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Newport. Once the successful Electrical Design Engineer is up to speed and bedded into the team, there could be an option for some hybrid working in the future.
