Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights rotation)Hours: Days: 05:30 17:30 Nights: 17:30 05:30The OpportunityThis is a hands-on Electrical Engineer role within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment where engineering truly drives performance.Youll play a critical part in keeping production moving responding to breakdowns, improving reliability, and ensuring equipment delivers against key operational targets. This isnt a back-office role. Youll be on the factory floor, working closely with operations, solving problems in real time, and making a measurable impact on output, efficiency and safety.The RoleAs an Electrical Engineer, you will: Respond quickly and safely to plant breakdowns and stoppages Carry out fault finding and repair across a range of production machinery Work on single and three-phase electrical systems Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance (PPM) activities Maintain and optimise equipment to maximise performance and uptime Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OEE and reliability Use SAP to accurately record engineering labour and parts usage Work collaboratively with engineering leadership and external specialists on complex faults Ensure all machinery operates to required product and quality specifications What Youll Be Measured On First-time fix rate on breakdowns Completion and accuracy of PPM tasks Contribution to equipment reliability and uptime Safety engagement and observations (BSO) Health & SafetySafety is central to everything on site. You will: Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work Use Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) at all times where required Wear appropriate PPE and report hazards immediately Support a culture of safe working across the engineering and production teams Assist in training new starters and apprentices What Were Looking For NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering (UK recognised) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment Ability to work under pressure and respond decisively Good communication skills and attention to detail A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement The EnvironmentYoull be joining a large, well-established food manufacturing business supplying major retailers and food service providers across the UK and Europe.With a workforce of over 20,000 people, the organisation is built around quality, consistency and operational excellence.
