Working Hours: 48 hours/week (4 on, 4 off rota, Monday to Sunday)

Job Purpose

As part of the engineering maintenance team, you will provide comprehensive support for building infrastructure and services. You will manage day-to-day operations of your shift, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and building codes. You will also act as the LV Authorised Person (LV AP), overseeing safe electrical work practices and isolations.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Management

- Responsible for the day-to-day management of your shift team, ensuring smooth operations and effective task delegation.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, documentation, and communication during shift handovers.
- Act as a point of contact for escalations and urgent issues during your shift.

Authorised Person (LV AP) Duties

- Perform duties as Low Voltage Authorised Person, including issuing and managing Permits to Work for LV systems.
- Ensure safe isolation and re-energisation of electrical systems.
- Maintain compliance with electrical safety procedures and regulations.

Smart Building Systems

- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot smart building technologies, including Building Management Systems (BMS), energy management platforms, intelligent lighting and HVAC controls, and occupancy sensors.
- Use data from smart systems to support predictive maintenance and improve energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with the wider team to integrate smart building insights into daily operations and reporting.

- Complete mandatory training modules on smart building systems via the Vertex training portal.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and attend workshops or vendor-led sessions.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using BMS and IoT-enabled platforms for building operations.
