This outstanding special school is looking to appoint a dedicated English Teacher to teach students with Autism and associated learning needs in a welcoming and supportive environment.
As an English Teacher at this school, you will teach small classes of students with a range of additional needs, delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons that support literacy, communication and confidence. The school benefits from outstanding facilities and access to excellent resources, allowing you to deliver creative and effective lessons tailored to individual needs.
You will work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and a supportive leadership team to create a structured and inclusive classroom where students feel safe, valued and able to succeed. Previous experience working in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential for the right teacher. This role requires an English Teacher who holds QTS or QTLS.
Job Role:
Teaching English to small classes of students with Autism and associated learning needs
Planning and delivering differentiated and engaging lessons
Supporting students’ literacy, communication and confidence
Creating a structured, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Working closely with Teaching Assistants to support engagement and progress
Using a range of strategies and resources to meet individual needs
Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plansIn Return You Will:
