Full-Time | PermanentWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established heavy engineering and fabrication business seeking a technically capable Estimator to join their growing team.This role would suit a degree-qualified Engineer with experience estimating complex heavy engineering or fabrication projects, looking to take ownership of technically demanding work within a stable and forward-thinking organisation.The RoleAs Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for heavy engineering projects, working closely with design, production and commercial teams.Projects typically involve structural steel, heavy fabrication, pipework and bespoke engineered solutions.Key responsibilities include: Preparing detailed cost build-ups and tender submissions Reviewing engineering drawings and specifications Performing material take-offs (MTO) Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing Working alongside design and production teams to ensure feasibility Supporting commercial negotiations where required Ensuring projects are priced accurately and profitablyAbout You Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Proven experience estimating within heavy engineering, fabrication, structural steel or industrial plant Strong understanding of materials, welding processes and fabrication methods Confident interpreting technical drawings Commercially aware with strong attention to detail Able to manage multiple tenders simultaneouslyWhats On Offer Salary up to £45,000 Stable, established heavy engineering business Technically challenging, bespoke projects Opportunity to progress within commercial / engineering leadership Supportive and collaborative environmentThis is not a construction-only QS role we are specifically seeking a technically minded estimator with a background in heavy engineering.If you are an engineering graduate who has moved into estimating, or a degree-qualified estimator looking for your next challenge, we would welcome your application.JBRP1_UKTJ
