Job Description
Role: Field Service Engineer\n Type: Permanent\n Pay: up to £35,000 per annum\n Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–4:00pm, On-call rota: 1 week in every 6 (paid)\n Location: Basingstoke\n \nI’m supporting a well-established engineering and Manufacturing business that, due to continued growth within their Field Service division, is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer. This is a customer-facing, hands-on role where you’ll be at the frontline of the business, delivering high standards of service and technical support across critical environments.\n \nAs the Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing market-leading technical support across the company’s full product range. You’ll work primarily within hospitals, prisons, and universities, supporting a mix of electrical and mechanical systems.
The role is field-based, supported by a strong internal team, and offers excellent earning potential through paid travel time, overtime, and on-call allowances.\n \nField Service Engineer\nJob Description\n\nDeliver high-quality technical support and customer service across their product range.\nDiagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in the field.\nIdentify and report product faults, early failures, and corrective actions.\nImprove efficiency through high first-time fix rates and reduced return visits.\nWork closely with internal teams to improve service performance and customer satisfaction. \nField Service Engineer\nEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications\n\nExperience in a field service or technical role.\nCustomer-facing experience with a strong service-driven mindset.\nExperience with fire systems, alarms, or communication systems is advantageous\nBasic knowledge of electrical and communication systems.\nFull UK driving licence and eligible for DBS clearance. \nField Service Engineer\nBenefits\n\nCompany car and on-call allowances.\n25 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising with service).\nPension scheme, death-in-service benefit, and bonus scheme.\nHealth, wellbeing, share scheme, and regular company events. \n\nIf you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply
