As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior stakeholders in operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and ensure robust financial control. This role is pivotal in supporting our project delivery teams and enabling data-driven decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with regional project managers and senior stakeholders to analyse performance and drive profitabilityAnnual budgeting processes and long-term planningProviding financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-makingOversee the producing of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and insightful variance analysisIdentify financial risks and opportunities within projects and advise accordinglyProvide financial support to ad-hoc bids, tenders and projectsSupport the divisional lead in financial planning and analysisContinuously improving reporting processes and toolsEnsure adherence to financial controls and compliance standardsIdeally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Previous experience in a Finance Business Partnering role, ideally in construction, Engineering, Rail, Infrastructure, Utilities or similarCommercially astute with strong analytical skillsConfident communicator able to challenge and influence stakeholdersAdvanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems a bonusProactive, hands-on approach and a drive for continuous improvementSharp Consultancy is a finance and accountancy recruitment specialist assisting accounting and finance divisions of businesses in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire area.
