Finance Manager

The Role

We are recruiting a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function for a well-established manufacturing business based in East London. This is a hands-on role combining financial control, reporting, and commercial support, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, accuracy, and informed decision-making.
The role would suit a commercially minded finance professional with experience in manufacturing or engineering-led environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets

Oversee financial controls, ledgers, and cashflow management

Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, and variances

Support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis

Manage payroll, VAT, and statutory reporting

Work with auditors, accountants, and external advisors

Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy

Partner with operational teams to support production and commercial decisions

Skills & Experience

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Strong understanding of cost accounting and production finance

Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills

ERP or accounting system experience

Commercial mindset with strong communication skills

What's on Offer

Salary in the region of £70,000, which could be negotiated for the right person
