Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a commercially focused Site Accountant to join our Andover leadership team. This is a key role responsible for leading the site finance function, providing insight and challenge to operational and commercial teams, and ensuring robust financial control in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The Role

As Site Accountant, you will be a core member of the site leadership team, owning all aspects of financial performance and control while partnering closely with operations and commercial teams to drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and develop the onsite finance team
• Own all site financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders
• Produce accurate weekly and monthly P&Ls with meaningful commentary and insights
• Deliver detailed variance analysis against budget and prior year
• Own and reconcile the site balance sheet, safeguarding company assets
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal audit requirements
• Manage daily and weekly KPIs, forecasts and month-end reporting
• Support and challenge labour and overhead spend control
• Business partner with commercial teams on costings, pricing models and inflation recovery
• Lead site budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support cost centre owners to understand and influence financial performance
• Oversee Capex processes including approvals, cashflow forecasting and post-completion reviews
• Drive continuous improvement across cost, margin, systems and performance
• This role requires strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence at all levels of the business.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred)
• Experience in a site-based food manufacturing finance role
• Strong commercial and operational finance background
• Proven team management experience
• Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint capability
• Strong SAP knowledge and system expertise
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, energetic and change-driven mindset
• You will be confident in challenging performance, influencing decisions and translating financial data into clear, actionable insights.
