Financial Controller | Fintech | London (Hybrid) A scaling fintech is looking for a Financial Controller to take ownership of its financial control environment at a critical stage of growth. The business is currently progressing through EMI authorisation and needs an experienced finance leader who understands what that process demands. This is a broad, high-impact role with genuine scope to shape how finance operates across the group. The role
Designing and embedding financial controls and governance frameworks Leading the EMI regulatory authorisation process and building the required infrastructure Owning month-end close, group consolidation, and management reporting Managing relationships with auditors, regulators, and external stakeholders Overseeing tax compliance across multiple areas Driving automation and process improvement across the finance function Partnering with Risk and Compliance on controls culture Leading and developing a lean, high-performing finance team
What we're looking for
ACA or ACCA qualified with strong post-qualified experience Direct experience with EMI authorisation or working within an FCA regulated payments business Sound knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks, including safeguarding and capital requirements Proven leadership in financial control or group reporting Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on Interest in leveraging technology and automation within finance
Experience in fintech or high-growth environments, ERP implementation, or multi-entity group structures would be an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
