Frontend Engineer – Premium Subscription Media Platform

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 DOE

We’re partnering with a premium, subscription-first media platform that’s building a next-generation digital experience — and they’re hiring their first Frontend Engineer.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the frontend architecture from the ground up on a high-end, multimedia-rich publishing platform powered by Next.js, React, and Sanity (headless CMS).

What You’ll Be Building

• A premium, typography-led global publishing platform
• Dynamic paywall & subscription experiences (Chargebee integration)
• Structured, data-driven content with multimedia and rich insights
• AI-enhanced publishing workflows and intelligent content experiences
• API-first architecture integrated with AWS

What We’re Looking For

• Strong React & Next.js experience (open to other modern frontend frameworks)
• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Sanity preferred)
• Comfortable integrating APIs, subscriptions, and authentication flows
• Experience building performance-optimised, SEO-first platforms
• Interest or experience in AI integration (commercial, personal projects, or strong motivation to implement AI-driven frontend features)
• Excited to be the first frontend hire and help define standards, tooling, and technical direction
• Highly desirable: experience in media, publishing, or advertising
