Salary: £40,000 + Overtime

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Gas Safe Plumber to join the on-site maintenance team at a prestigious and secure site in Newmarket. Working as part of a professional facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing and gas maintenance services across the estate.
This role involves a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and minor installation works, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing and gas systems

Respond to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing faults

Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on gas appliances and heating systems

Carry out general plumbing works including pipework, taps, toilets, valves and water systems

Ensure all gas works are completed in accordance with Gas Safe regulations and safety standards

Support wider maintenance tasks across the site where required

Liaise with contractors and other engineers on site

Maintain accurate records of works carried out and ensure compliance documentation is completed

Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures

Requirements Gas Safe registered

Proven experience working as a Gas Engineer / Plumber within facilities management, building services or commercial environments

Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and gas appliances

Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance

Ability to fault-find and resolve issues efficiently

Good communication and teamwork skills

Relevant plumbing or gas qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
