General Foreman – Highways – Permanent\n\n Liverpool\n £55,000 – £60,000 + package\n Long-term local highways framework\n\nA leading main civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced General Foreman to work on a long-term highways framework across the Liverpool area.\n\nThis is a permanent role offering stability, local work, and consistent project delivery — ideal for a Foreman looking to stay close to home while working on meaningful schemes.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of highways works on projects typically valued between £5m – £50m, including:\n\n * Supervising site teams and subcontractors\n\n * Coordinating daily activities to programme\n\n * Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification\n\n * Managing RAMS, permits, and site paperwork\n\n * Liaising with Site Management and Engineers\n\n * Maintaining high standards of HSEQ compliance\n\nProject Scope\n\n * Highways & infrastructure works\n\n * Drainage (deep & shallow)\n\n * Kerbing, surfacing & reinstatement\n\n * Section delivery within live environments\n\nAbout You\n\n * 8+ years’ experience delivering highways projects\n\n * Strong background in drainage, kerbing & surfacing\n\n * Proven experience operating as a General Foreman on civil engineering schemes\n\n * Comfortable managing gangs, subcontractors & programme pressures\n\nTickets required:\n\n * SMSTS\n\n * First Aid\n\n * CSCS\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * £55,000 – £60,000 basic salary\n\n * Competitive package (car / allowance, pension, etc.)\n\n * Long-term, secured framework work\n\n * Predominantly local projects — minimal travel\n\n * Strong pipeline of work and clear continuity
