Seeking an ambitious and hands-on General Manager to lead a quality-focused, LGBTQIA+-owned café in Camberwell. This is a unique opportunity to take real ownership of a growing business, shaping both the customer experience and team culture, while benefiting from an equity incentive tied to the cafés success. What We Offer: £15 per hour (35 hours per week) Pay: £15.00 per hour + equity incentive (approx. £26,250 base + performance-linked equity) A genuine opportunity to shape and grow a café business Autonomy, responsibility, and direct input into operations Supportive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Operations Take full responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the café Lead by example on the floor, setting the standard for service, quality, and professionalism Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality drinks and customer experience Oversee opening/closing procedures and maintain operational excellence Team Development Build, train, and motivate a strong, engaged team Manage rotas, timesheets, and weekly reporting Lead recruitment and onboarding (with director approval) Act as the primary point of contact for all staff matters Standards & Customer Experience Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation Confidently handle customer feedback and resolve issues with professionalism Ensure all health & safety procedures are upheld Commercial & Supplier Management Manage supplier relationships and oversee stock control Coordinate ordering across coffee, food, and retail products Support the growth of retail sales and in-store offering What Were Looking For: Proven experience in a café or hospitality leadership role (Supervisor/Assistant Manager/Manager) A strong sense of ownership and accountability Passion for quality coffee, service, and creating a great customer experience Confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment Commercial awareness and attention to detail Comfortable working in and contributing to an inclusive, LGBTQIA+-led environment Are you interested ? please apply below and Brooklyn will be in touch!
