We're looking for an experienced General Manager to join the leadership team of a family-run, historic country pub in the heart of Lewes. Full of charm, character, and known for its fresh, seasonal and high-quality food, this is an exciting opportunity to help guide a thriving, high-volume destination venue with real personality.
As General Manager, you'll work closely alongside the owners as part of a supportive leadership team, taking shared responsibility for all aspects of the business. You'll drive service standards, champion an exceptional guest experience, and help inspire, motivate, and develop a passionate front and back of house team. You'll oversee budgets, rotas, stock control, and cellar management efficiently while ensuring consistent, warm, high-quality hospitality in a fast-paced environment.
A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with our loyal local community and trusted suppliers, helping to maintain the pub's reputation as a welcoming, vibrant hub at the heart of Lewes.
