Job Description

A growing UK renewable energy developer is looking for a Grid Engineer to support grid connections across a portfolio of BESS, solar, long-duration storage and hybrid projects.


Working closely with an experienced Grid Connections Manager, you’ll support projects from early feasibility through to pre-energisation, gaining hands-on exposure to DNO processes, grid applications and power systems engineering in a developer-side environment.


This role suits engineers with 1-4 years of experience in grid, power systems or renewable energy - including those currently in consultancies looking to move in-house.


Key focus areas:

  • Supporting grid connection applications (G99 / G100 / ELS)
  • Reviewing DNO data, constraints and connection offers
  • Assisting with site design, SLDs and technical assessments
  • Coordinating with DNOs, ICPs, EPCs and consultants


Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or similar
  • Exposure to UK distribution or transmission networks (11–132kV)
