Head Chef Care Home Setting Location: Clapham
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen in a well-established care home based in Clapham. This role is ideal for a chef who values quality, consistency, and the opportunity to make a real difference through food.
The Role You will have full responsibility for the kitchen operation, delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that meet residents dietary, cultural, and medical requirements in a calm, well-structured environment.
Key Responsibilities Plan and prepare fresh, balanced meals for residents

Lead, manage, and motivate the kitchen team

Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

Manage stock control, ordering, and budgets

Work closely with care and management teams to meet individual dietary needs

About You Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef

Experience within a care home, healthcare, or similar setting is highly desirable

Kosher trained preferred; full training will be provided

Strong leadership and organisational skills

A caring, resident-focused approach to food
