Role Overview

Lead Production and Manufacturing Engineering within Operations.
Drive efficient, high-quality, on-time manufacturing delivery.
Manage and develop a team of leaders and technical specialists.
Collaborate across engineering, programmes, finance, and commercial teams.
Support DFM, cost modelling, and scalable production growth.
Embed best-in-class processes and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead & Shape Manufacturing
Take ownership of manufacturing performance, capability, and growth

Influence strategy and play a key role in shaping the future of production

Introduce best-in-class assembly and production methods

Drive Innovation & Improvement
Champion continuous improvement across processes, cost, and efficiency

Lead DFM and collaborate closely with Engineering to optimise designs for production

Introduce new technologies and smarter ways of working
Commercial Impact
Support project costing and help win new business through competitive manufacturing solutions

Contribute to make vs. buy decisions and overall production strategy
Quality & Performance

Ensure high standards of quality, traceability, and compliance

Use data and KPIs to drive performance and deliver measurable improvements
Inspire & Develop Teams
Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing manufacturing team

Build capability, support development, and create a positive team culture

Manage workload, priorities, and performance effectively
Operational Excellence
Oversee production planning, MRP systems, and workflow efficiency

Ensure on-time delivery and consistent, high-quality output

Continuously improve reliability and manufacturing performance
