Job Description

We are seeking a team-focused, inspiring mathematician to lead Mathematics across Key Stages 3–5. This role offers the opportunity to shape an ambitious, knowledge-rich curriculum and foster a deep, lasting curiosity about Mathematics that extends well beyond the classroom. You will join a modern, growing academy with a clear and purposeful ethos and play a key role in ensuring every student is supported to thrive academically and personally.


The position is permanent and full-time, starting in April or sooner, at a growing and thriving academy in West London. The school has recently opened a Sixth Form and are therefore looking for a Head of Department who can help drive forwards and expand KS5 teaching within the school, while also managing GCSE curriculum to ensure the continuation of strong results, learning and student enjoyment.

What we’re looking for:

A highly motivated classroom practitioner who:

  • Holds QTS and has recent UK experience of delivering good to outstanding Mathematics lessons across a range of abilities.
  • Brings secure subject knowledge and a proven record of raising attainment through effective assessment, feedback and intervention.
  • Demonstrates inclusive practice and strong behaviour routines, ensuring all learners feel safe, challenged and successful.
  • Leads through others by setting a clear vision, modelling excellent pedagogy and developing colleagues’ practice.


We are looking for someone with proven experience in curriculum planning, a track record of outstanding teaching, and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
