ROLE: Head of Operations – Healthcare

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday as required)

LOCATION: St George's Hospital, Blackshaw Road, Tooting, SW17 0QT

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational excellence across all service lines.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted partner.
  • Drive strategic planning, performance management and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance, safety and value for money in all operations.
  • Representing Mitie professionally in client meetings and forums.


Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with hands‑on operational experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
  • Financial acumen including P&L responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAFM, COUPA, SuccessFactors and analytics tools.
  • A strong understanding of the NHS Cleaning Standards.
