The Head of Salesforce Centre of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for setting the strategic direction, capabilities, and ensuring operational excellence of Salesforce within the organisation. The role requires a strong understanding of the Salesforce product suite, along with management experience of Salesforce administrators and developers.
This position demands strategic vision, strong leadership, and programme management skills to successfully deliver initiatives and promote ongoing adoption of Salesforce across the organisation.
The successful candidate will develop business-focused solutions, manage the Centre of Enablement (CoE), and maintain key relationships with internal business units, external systems integrators (SI), Salesforce, and other government departments.
This role is a strategic platform to address data challenges, improve efficiencies, and streamline non-standard processes. It is not used for sales and marketing purposes but focuses on managing processes, cases, contacts, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Governance:
- Define, implement, and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Salesforce CoE, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and digital transformation goals.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for Salesforce use across the organisation.
Centre of Excellence (CoE) Management:
- Build and manage a high-performing CoE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance Salesforce capabilities and promote knowledge sharing.
Offshore Systems Integrator (SI) Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with offshore SIs, ensuring clear communication and aligned objectives.
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of deliverables from offshore partners, ensuring they meet organisational standards.
Business-Focused Solution Development:
- Work with business stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure Salesforce applications that improve business processes and deliver measurable value.
- Ensure solutions are user-centric and follow best practices for user experience.
Salesforce Administration and Development:
- Lead Salesforce platform administration, including user management, security, data integrity, and system maintenance.
Automation Strategy and Subject Knowledge:
- Promote automation to optimise business processes and efficiencies.
- Engage in and shape the DDSS Automation and AI strategy and Community of Practice (CoP).
- Collaborate with Data, AI, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
