Chucs Belgravia is seeking an experienced and service-driven Head Waiter to join our elegant, fast-paced restaurant. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional hospitality skills, strong product knowledge, and a confident, polished presence aligned with the Chucs brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service Excellence Deliver warm, attentive, and personalized service to all guests.

Lead service in your section, ensuring flawless guest experience from seating to bill settlement.

Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

Maintain exceptional knowledge of menu items, specials, wine list, and allergens.

Operational Duties Oversee the flow of service during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Coordinate with hosts, bartenders, runners, and chefs to guarantee consistent, timely service.

Ensure table setups, cleanliness, and overall presentation meet Chucs standards.

Manage daily opening and closing duties.

Leadership & Training Support the management team by guiding junior staff and helping train new waiters.

Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, efficiency, and teamwork.

Assist with briefings, menu updates, and communicating standards to the floor team.

Sales & Revenue Actively recommend dishes and wines to maximise revenue through genuine upselling.

Maintain accurate billing and efficient use of the POS system.

Manage special requests, VIP guests, and large bookings with confidence.

Skills & Experience Required Minimum 23 years of experience in a premium or luxury dining environment.

Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and wine (WSET Level 12 preferred but not essential).

Impeccable grooming, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining a calm and polished demeanour.

Excellent teamwork and leadership qualities.

Fluent in English; Italian language is an advantage.
