Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Location: Chorley - office based (with site travel)
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

We are working with a highly reputable construction contractor to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with a strong pipeline of residential projects and a genuine commitment to health and safety.

The Role

* Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture across the business

* Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments

* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and organisational policies.

* Provide practical advice and guidance to site teams and senior management

* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

* Review and develop RAMS, policies and procedures

* Deliver toolbox talks and health and safety training

* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and current legislation

* Support multiple residential sites

About You

* Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a health and safety management role

* Proven experience within residential construction is essential

* Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practices in the UK.

* Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent

* Excellent report writing skills with the ability to produce clear, detailed documentation.

* Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues behind incidents or hazards.

* Strong communication and influencing skills

* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
