Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Harrow, North West London
Start Date: ASAP Start
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time

We are seeking a confident and experienced HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in Harrow. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner to take on additional responsibility, support whole-class learning, and deliver targeted interventions across the school, covering classes from EYFS through Year 6.

The Role:

• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher across EYFS to Year 6
• Lead small group interventions to raise attainment
• Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN and additional needs
• Support behaviour management and promote positive engagement
• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Promote independence, emotional regulation, and social development
• Work collaboratively with teachers and senior leaders

What We’re Looking For:

• HLTA qualification or significant experience at HLTA level
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum across EYFS to Year 6
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN
• Confident leading whole-class learning when required
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
