Bright Selection are delighted to be supporting an expanding care home provider in the appointment of a Home Manager for a purpose-built residential and dementia care home in York.

This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-quality, newer service with a strong reputation and play a key role in its ongoing development. The home offers an excellent environment and is now seeking a commercially aware leader to drive occupancy, team performance and overall standards ahead of its first CQC inspection.

This role would suit an experienced Home Manager with experience leading a large team and home.

Requirements

Proven track record of managing a Good rated care homes
Positive and engaging leadership style
L5 / L4 Management or equivalent qualification
Proven ability in budget preparation and control
Excellent knowledge of CQC legislation

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the operational, financial and quality performance of the home
Prepare the service for its first CQC inspection and maintain compliance standards
Lead, develop and retain a high-performing team
Ensure effective quality assurance and governance systems are in place
Manage budgets and deliver against financial targets
Take a proactive approach to complaints and continuous improvement
Support occupancy through local networking, relationship building and enquiry management
Build strong relationships with residents, families and external stakeholders
