The Host/ess is responsible for providing an exceptional experience as the first and last guest contact in the restaurant, building relationships to encourage repeat visits and loyalty. Always being available to deal with guests' enquiries, either in person, via telephone or via email. Has a thorough understanding of the POS system and telephone system and displays good telephone manners. Ensures the reservation system is filled in correctly, maximize the covers as much as possible and kept the work station in good order. Checks the menu and that the table layout is correct prior to service Send accurate report of daily reservation report to the restaurant and IRD management team at the end of each shift. Ensure that the guests` profile database is accurate and just relevant information is kept within the restaurant reservation system and PMS. Assists the Restaurant, Bar team and In Room Dining Team when required to ensure the whole operation is running smoothly. If you're our ideal Host/ess, you will have; Hotel or restaurant experience A passion for guest experience Good telephone handling Organisational skills
