Housing Disrepair Solicitor

Manchester | Hybrid Working

£30,000 – £45,000 (DOE)


A growing and forward-thinking law firm with a strong reputation in claimant litigation. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join the Manchester-based team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, handling a varied caseload while benefiting from hybrid working and clear progression opportunities.


The Role

You will manage your own caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from inception to conclusion, including both pre- and post-litigation cases. The role will involve:


  • Running a caseload of Housing Disrepair files under the Pre-Action Protocol
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of works and schedules of loss
  • Issuing and progressing claims through the County Court where required
  • Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and opposing parties
  • Ensuring compliance with CPR, deadlines and internal procedures
  • Delivering a high standard of client care at all times


The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor with solid experience in Housing Disrepair
  • Strong understanding of Housing Disrepair claims and litigation process
  • Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
  • Confident communicator with excellent client care skills
  • Organised, proactive and commercially aware
