People Development Business Partner (Field-Based)

We’re looking for an experienced and high-impact People Development professional to drive capability, leadership, and performance across operational teams in a regional, field-based role.

Working as part of a high-performing talent development team, you will partner closely with operational leaders to identify capability gaps, deliver targeted interventions, and build a strong internal talent pipeline across key functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional operations and central teams to improve key performance metrics through targeted people initiatives
  • Deliver hands-on coaching and development interventions to address performance gaps
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to identify capability and behavioural drivers impacting business performance
  • Collaborate with People/HR Business Partners to implement practical, results-driven development plans
  • Track, measure, and report on the commercial impact of development initiatives
  • Design and deliver acceleration programmes to strengthen internal talent pipelines
  • Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning processes
  • Provide guidance on career pathways and promotion readiness
  • Ensure development plans are actionable, measurable, and aligned to business goals
  • Continuously refine learning programmes based on feedback and performance outcomes

About You

  • Proven experience in learning & development, talent development, or people performance roles within an operational environment
  • Strong track record of improving performance through coaching and structured interventions
  • Experience building talent pipelines and supporting succession planning
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to link people initiatives to business outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong project management capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Willingness to travel regionally, including overnight stays where required
