ANZUK Education is working in partnership with a well-established Multi-Academy Trust in East London to recruit an experienced and strategic Trust HR Business Partner.
This is a senior-level role combining both operational and strategic responsibilities, supporting school leaders across multiple sites to deliver high-quality, compliant, and people-focused HR services.
About the Role
The Trust HR Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to Headteachers and senior leaders, leading on employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment compliance, and organisational development initiatives.
This role would suit a confident HR professional with strong employment law expertise and experience working in complex, fast-paced environments — ideally within education or the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert HR advice and guidance to Headteachers and senior leaders
* Lead and manage complex employee relations casework including absence, disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters
* Support safer recruitment practices and oversee onboarding compliance
* Advise on workforce planning, restructures, and organisational change
* Monitor HR metrics and produce reports to inform strategic decision-making
* Ensure policies and procedures remain compliant with current employment legislation
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
* Collaborate with payroll, finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate HR processes
* Contribute to Trust-wide HR strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
Role Requirements – Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) or possess equivalent HR experience
* Have proven HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory experience
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
* Have experience independently managing complex ER casework
* Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Be confident influencing and building strong professional relationships
* Have experience within education or the public sector (desirable)
* Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
* Have a valid Right to Work in the UK
