Job Title: Interim Finance Project Manager (Strategic Finance & M&A)\n\nLocation: Hybrid (between Derby and home-based)\n\nAbout the Role\n\nGleeson are delighted to, once again, be supporting a rapidly growing client of ours in the Derby area on an exclusive basis. The Interim Finance Project Manager is a unique opportunity for a high-calibre finance professional to step into a pivotal role, acting as the CFO's strategic partner during a period of transformation and growth. You will be at the forefront of shaping the company's 3-year strategic plan, ensuring that robust financial insight and forward-thinking analysis underpin every major decision.\n\nWith a clear focus on corporate development, you will support - and in some cases lead - critical projects, including potential M&A transactions and preparations for a potential sale process.
You'll bring financial rigour, strategic acumen, and commercial curiosity to help the business identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and deliver on its long-term ambitions.\n\nKey Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Project Manager \n\nPartner with the CFO to drive and refine the company's 3-year plan with commercial insight and financial discipline.\nLead strategic finance projects, including potential acquisitions, sales, and corporate transactions.\n\nBuild robust, investor-grade financial models and scenario analyses.\n\nPartner with executives and senior leaders to align financial priorities with strategic goals.\n\nManage relationships with investors, banks, and acquisition targets.\n\n Requirements\n\nExperience in business financial modelling and strategy development or strategic projects.\nTrack record of managing key internal (executives, senior leaders) and external (investors, banks) stakeholders.\nExposure to corporate strategic development and business plan construction.\nExperience in a consumer-facing (B2C) business is essential.\nExperience in a private equity-backed and/or travel business is advantageous.Qualifications & Skills\n\nACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong Excel and financial modelling skills.\n\nProven experience in strategy, corporate development, and stakeholder management.\n\nBackground in consumer-facing (B2C) and PE backed businesses is highly desirable.\n\nResilient, adaptable, and able to influence at the highest level.\n\nThis role offers the scope to shape the strategic and financial trajectory of a dynamic, consumer-facing business during a decisive phase of growth and potential change.\n\nIf you have experience of the above, full right to work in the Uk without the need for sponsorship and are able to be on site in the Derby area ideally 2 - 3 days per week (but this can be flexible) then don't hesitate to apply!\n\nAt Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
