Interim Group Financial Controller

£650/£850 per day, outside of IR35

I have an immediate requirement for an experienced Interim Group Financial Controller to join a circa £250MN turnover business. This is a critical role within the finance function, requiring a hands-on and technically strong finance leader who can bring structure, clarity, and control.

\n\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n\n
    \n\t
  • Lead the group through the year-end audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors
    • \n\t
  • Oversee and review statutory accounts across the group structure
    • \n\t
  • Manage and support a small, capable finance team, ensuring high performance and delivery
    • \n\t
  • Navigate a complex intercompany structure, ensuring accuracy and transparency
    • \n\t
  • Strengthen financial controls and processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment
    • \n

Candidate Profile:

\n\n
    \n\t
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
    • \n\t
  • Having worked as a GFC is a business of £200MN turnover+
    • \n\t
  • Strong technical expertise in audit, tax, and statutory reporting
    • \n\t
  • Comfortable working within complex, multi-entity structures
    • \n\t
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to deliver at pace in a changing environment
    • \n\t
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
    • \n
