Job Title: Internal Sales(Electrical Wholesale)

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)


Overview

An established electrical wholesale business is looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales professional for a senior, all-round role within a dedicated electrical wholesale branch. This position goes beyond traditional internal sales and requires someone who can take real responsibility, support the day-to-day running of the business, and contribute commercially across multiple areas.

This role is suited to a flexible, driven individual who is not set in their ways and is happy to work as part of a team while taking ownership of their area of the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle internal sales enquiries via phone and email, converting opportunities into profitable orders
  • Manage quotations, pricing, and margin control
  • Support and, where required, take responsibility for elements of the day-to-day branch operation
  • Work across internal and external sales activity as needed
  • Support large contracts, from pricing through to fulfilment
  • Source products using own initiative to maximise margin and service levels
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
  • Integrate into the existing team while taking ownership of individual responsibilities


Experience & Skills Required

  • Must have worked within a dedicated electrical wholesale branch in either an internal or external sales role
  • Excellent product knowledge across commercial, industrial, and domestic electrical ranges
  • Comfortable handling all aspects of large contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities and generate profit
  • Flexible approach and open to working in line with established business processes
  • Able to work under pressure with strong multitasking ability
  • Honest, reliable, and hard-working with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent computer skills, competent in Microsoft Word and Excel


Additional Requirements

  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Written references will be required
  • Candidates will be expected to provide clear examples of how their skills and experience can benefit the business during interview
